[Mukgwonago, Wisc...] Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) spoke to the MacIver Institute recently about the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court case King v. Burwell and what Wisconsin should do. King v. Burwell could find that the Affordable Care Act's subsidies in states with the federal exchange could be unconstitutional. In spite of many calls for Wisconsin to switch over to a state-based exchange, Ryan argues that would only empower Obamacare. He is working with his colleagues to create an “off-ramp” from Obamacare, which is why he believes states should not give in to the scare tactics of the left.
