If you’ve had a chance to read either Senior Scientist Reveals All About Area 51, UFO’s and Aliens Before Dying or Do We Actually Have the Technology to Take E.T. Home Like Lockheed’s Skunk Works Director Said? (Video), then you’re already aware of the story that according to a UCLA engineering alumnus, in 1993 a fellow alumnus, who happened to run one of the most advanced and secretive aircraft development organizations in the world, says the key to the technology that will allow us to travel to the stars, without taking a lifetime to get there, lies in ESP.

Ben Rich was the director of Lockheed’s Skunk Works from 1975 to 1991. Skunk Works is a division of Lockheed Martin that develops super high-tech aircraft, and is responsible for developing the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk stealth bomber, and the F-22 Raptor. In other words, he wasn’t a loon. He was one of the most trusted men in the United States government, so chances are there is something to what he was saying. When you stop to consider that the U.S. Army was using extrasensory perception (ESP) or “sensing with mind” during the height of the Cold War, and furthermore when you hear what they learned, all of a sudden what Ben Rich said makes an awful lot of sense.

WHAT IS REMOTE VIEWING?

According to Wikipedia, Remote viewing (RV) is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen target using subjective means, in particular, extrasensory perception (ESP) or “sensing with mind”. There is no credible scientific evidence that remote viewing works, and the topic of remote viewing is regarded as pseudoscience.

As far as pseudoscience or “not working,” don’t tell that to the U.S. Army who actively engaged in remote viewing using is special project titled, The Stargate Project. Before delving right into some stories from the U.S. Army Stargate Project, it’s important to get some background on what remote viewing actually is, and how the U.S. Army used it, regardless of what Wikipedia says about its effectiveness. Wikipedia writes:

The Stargate Project was the code name for a U.S. Army unit established in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, by the Defense Intelligence Agency and SRI International (a California contractor) to investigate the potential for psychic phenomena in military and domestic applications. This primarily involved remote viewing, the purported ability to psychically “see” events, sites, or information from a great distance. The project was overseen until 1987 by Lt. Frederick Holmes “Skip” Atwater, an aide and “psychic headhunter” to Maj. Gen. Albert Stubblebine, and later president of the Monroe Institute. The unit was small-scale, comprising about 15 to 20 individuals, and was run out of “an old, leaky wooden barracks”.

The Stargate Project was terminated in 1995 after a CIA report concluded that it was never useful in any intelligence operation. Information provided by the program was vague, included irrelevant and erroneous data, and there was reason to suspect that its project managers had changed the reports so they would fit background cues.

WHO WAS INVOLVED WITH REMOTE VIEWING?

INGO SWANN (CIVILIAN): WIDELY CONSIDERED TO BE THE “FATHER OF REMOTE VIEWING”

Originally tested in the “Phase One” were OOBE-Beacon “RV” experiments at the American Society for Psychical Research, under research director Karlis Osis. A former OT VII Scientologist, who alleged to have coined the term ‘remote viewing’ as a derivation of protocols originally developed by René Warcollier, a French chemical engineer in the early 20th century, documented in the book Mind to Mind. Swann’s achievement was to break free from the conventional mold of casual experimentation and candidate burn out, and develop a viable set of protocols that put clairvoyance within a framework named “Coordinate Remote Viewing” (CRV). In a 1995 letter Edwin C. May wrote he had not used Swann for two years because there were rumors of him briefing a high level person at SAIC on remote viewing and aliens, ETs.

When Ingo Swann’ remote viewed the moon, he was utterly floored by what he found: during an initial targeting, his mind focused in on sensational imagery of what looked to be a huge tower, similar in size to the Secretariat Building at the United Nations, but one that soared upwards from the Moon’s surface. This was no human-made structure, Swann was told: it was the work of nothing less than mysterious extraterrestrials.

In follow-up remote-viewing sessions, Swann was able to perceive on the surface of the Moon a wealth of domed structures, advanced machinery, additional tall towers, large cross-like structures, curious tubular constructions across the landscape, and even evidence of what looked like extensive mining operations. Someone, or something, had secretly constructed nothing less than a Moon-base.

The shard and the tower on the dark side of the moon what are they? These images are from Lunar Orbiter frame LO-III-84-M. Taken with the medium resolution camera at a distance of at least 250 miles, it shows an object dubbed by Hoagland the “Shard”. The star-like object above the “Shard” is a camera registration mark. The “Shard” has a shadow cast in the correct direction for it to be a real object on the Moon and is aligned with the local vertical rather than the grain of the film, decreasing the chance it is an emulsion abnormality. Close-ups reveal a cellular-like internal structure. Above and behind the “Shard” is the “Tower”, a massive 7 mile high structure with a central “cube” suspended by a tripod like base. Enhancements of the “Tower” show a similar cellular construction to the “Shard”, but with a distinctly hexagonal pattern.

This is where Wikipedia goes a bit too far in saying that “There is no credible scientific evidence that remote viewing works, and the topic of remote viewing is regarded as pseudoscience.” How the heck did he see that tower aka “The Shard” long before we know it was there? That’s NOT EVEN CLOSE to the freakiest thing Ingo Swann discovered either!!!

In 1973, two researchers recorded as Ingo Swann remote performed a remote viewing session of the planet Jupiter. At the time, NO SPACE PROBE HAD EVER VISITED THE GAS GIANT PLANET, and what little information was available had been obtained through low-res telescope images. During his 30 minute remote viewing session, Swann described Jupiter’s surface, atmosphere and weather, also stating that it had planetary rings around it, similar to those of Saturn.

U.S. ARMY MAJOR ED DAMES:

Major Ed Dames was one of the first five Army students trained by Ingo Swann through Stage 3 in coordinate remote viewing. Because Dames’ role was intended to be as session monitor and analyst as an aid to Fred Atwater rather than a remote viewer, Dames received no further formal remote viewing training. After his assignment to the remote viewing unit at the end of January 1986, he was used to “run” remote viewers (as monitor) and provide training and practice sessions to viewer personnel. He soon established a reputation for pushing CRV to extremes, with target sessions on Atlantis, Mars, UFOs, and aliens. He has been a guest more than 30 times on the Coast to Coast AM radio show.

The Stargate Project was claimed to have been terminated in 1995 following an independent review which concluded:

The foregoing observations provide a compelling argument against continuation of the program within the intelligence community. Even though a statistically significant effect has been observed in the laboratory, it remains unclear whether the existence of a paranormal phenomenon, remote viewing, has been demonstrated. The laboratory studies do not provide evidence regarding the origins or nature of the phenomenon, assuming it exists, nor do they address an important methodological issue of inter-judge reliability.

Further, even if it could be demonstrated unequivocally that a paranormal phenomenon occurs under the conditions present in the laboratory paradigm, these conditions have limited applicability and utility for intelligence gathering operations. For example, the nature of the remote viewing targets are vastly dissimilar, as are the specific tasks required of the remote viewers. Most importantly, the information provided by remote viewing is vague and ambiguous, making it difficult, if not impossible, for the technique to yield information of sufficient quality and accuracy of information for actionable intelligence. Thus, we conclude that continued use of remote viewing in intelligence gathering operations is not warranted.
