A woman recently discovered a hidden camera while using a bathroom at a Dollar Tree discount store, reports KTLA.
On September 7th, Alexandria Sabori of Los Angeles asked a Dollar Tree employee if she could use the bathroom, and the employee responded: “Let me check that there’s toilet paper and let me check that it’s nice and clean.”
The employee eventually let her into the restroom, where she discovered a cardboard box with a hole in it. She was curious to know what was in the box- and asked specifically, “Why was there a whole in the box?”
When she discovered that there was an iPhone recording video inside the box, she said her “heart dropped.”
Sabori grabbed the phone and demanded to see the manager. The same employee who let her into the restroom claimed to be the manager.
At this point, Sabori decided to contact the authorities.
The employee, Carlos Martinez, was arrested.
Sabori hopes her story serves as a warning for others.
Sabori was with her sister and 10-year-old niece at the time. She stated: “This could’ve been my niece instead of me.”
Ternesha Peoples, another shopper at the store, contacted KTLA and corroborated Sabori’s story. Peoples said: “And each time he would say, ‘Oh I have to check and make sure there’s toilet paper’ or ‘I have to check and make sure it’s not wet,’ and then after he came out he would let us enter.”
What do you think of Sabori’s story?
