Though Evil and Corruption Seem Overwhelming, a New Dawn IS Coming

(Before It's News)

Theology and Politics from a Conservative, Biblical Perspective

I’m glad I’m a Christian! I don’t say that to brag. I say it in a deep sense of relief and joy for what I know Jesus did for me. He offered Himself as a propitiation for my sin, for your sin, and for the sins of the world. All who will come to Him in humility and submission believing are gifted with eternal life – salvation – by His grace and mercy (Romans 10:9-10).

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)

This is certainly something to cheer about and the fact that I could’ve done nothing (and still can’t), to save myself from eternal wrath tells me just how miraculous my salvation is for me and for you if you are also saved.

But if all we do is look at the problems in the world, my focus will shift from God, His rule in my heart, and His coming Kingdom of peace to the abject corruption within the unsaved human heart. All around us there are problems. We see the growing influence of unchecked Islam throughout Europe and especially the EU countries as Muslims seek to build what they believe will be their final caliphate, which will introduce the Final Mahdi to the world. It’s a huge problem in Africa as well that hardly merits any time on news programs.

Beyond this, daily we hear of new levels of corruption within the federal government. Wiretapping, illegalities, criminal cover-ups and more and we wonder what we might be able to do about it. In truth, while we, the people can push it to the fore, it will take someone with the actual authority to take the bull by the horns and grapple with it. Short of that, nothing much can be accomplished.

However, when you have two people in very high positions in government agencies – one at the FBI and one at the NSA (not to mention the CIA) – seemingly not being truthful and/or covering over things, it makes it difficult to believe that any headway will be made against the problems that these individuals and the agencies they head appear to be covering up. Does this mean we shouldn’t try? Not necessarily because in some way, to turn a blind eye to all of this makes us somewhat complicit doesn’t it?

If you saw someone breaking into someone’s home and carting off valuables and you did nothing to alert the homeowner or the authorities, you are part responsible for the crime that’s been committed. Oh, maybe not in a court of law, but morally speaking, you failed. I think this is one of Jesus’ points in His parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). Certainly there are other points of the parable, but one of them is that those who pass someone by who is in dire need shares the guilt.

In verse 31 we read that a priest passed by the robbed and injured man and did nothing. Oh, he might have offered a “prayer” but even that is doubtful. A Levite in the next verse does the same thing. They didn’t want to be bothered so they pretended that the man wasn’t lying there near death. They were more concerned with their own comfort than in trying to help someone else.

The other danger of course is being so involved in trying to uncover the corruption that most assuredly exists throughout many areas of the government (local, state, and federal), that the pursuit of truth takes over your entire life and you can think of nothing else. That’s not good either.

If you consider what is now coming to light (that much of the mainstream news is dutifully ignoring), we’re learning that there has likely been massive wiretapping of Trump and his people before and even after the election. If true, this is worrisome because of the illegalities involved.

Paul Adams does a radio show and on this particular episode he had a high-ranking government official who was able to bring facts to bear on the situation regarding these alleged wiretaps. According to him, a huge supercomputer nicknamed “The Hammer” was used by CIA Director Brennan and NSA Director Clapper to “wiretap Trump a zillion times.”

The particular show is called “The Dam Must Burst” and it’s a good interview to listen to and I would encourage everyone to listen and then share. The information needs to get out there.

Beyond this, apparently there are just under 50 hard drives containing 600 million documents detailing the level of spying that former President Obama did while in office. If true, it makes Richard Nixon’s wiretapping of DNC look like child’s play. The image highlights the fact that the hacker group, Anonymous released that information based on Wikileaks and other information available on the ‘Net. Imagine that if true, Obama spied on Trump, 156 judges, and even the Supreme Court justices. Apparently, he had a lot of time on his hands and sought means to be able to hold things over other people’s heads to get them to do his bidding.

Now had Hillary been elected, we would know NONE of this but with Trump in, information is starting to come out. As the person in the interview with Paul Adams says, every time more of this type of information comes out, the Democrats/Leftists renew claims of Trump’s involvement with Russia in order to obfuscate, redirect, and delay.

Of equal importance is the way Hillary herself has somehow managed to not be arrested. Talk about the “Teflon Don,” Hillary has skated free against all accusations over her alleged criminal conduct.

This has been even true with respect to the disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner and his alleged sex crimes. According to numerous reports, the NYPD was able to legally confiscate Weiner’s laptop with a search warrant. What the NYPD uncovered was appalling and allegedly provides insight into the fact that Hillary (and Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin), knew about his sex/sexting crimes but did nothing.

It is said that on his laptop are roughly 600,000 emails kept in a large folder that present enough information about Weiner’s involvement with a 14-year-old girl and the fact that Hillary advised Abedin to divorce Weiner because if that info came out it would be problematic for Hillary’s campaign.

That means, as NYPD sources highlight, the FBI knew Clinton did nothing to try and stop Weiner from repeatedly sexting a minor during the election. And the FBI likewise has apparently done nothing since the election to charge — or even question — Clinton for what appears to be intentionally endangering a minor entangled in a child pornography case. FBI Director James Comey said his agents combed Weiner’s laptop prior to the election and found no evidence indicating Hillary Clinton had engaged in any criminal conduct. Any. Somehow, Comey and his understudies were able to comb through over approximately 600,000 emails and files on the computer in a mere week. Yet found nothing linking Clinton to the Weiner child pornography case?

That information does not jibe with NYPD investigators. According to their intelligence, there was discussion of charging Clinton with New York statutes for not alerting law enforcement that a minor was being repeatedly exploited. But such talk was ultimately quashed by federal prosecutors who said this was now an FBI and Justice Department case and no charges like that would originate from New York or from local law enforcement where the girl lived.

NYPD investigators were not happy about it all and we may see at least some of the documents up on Wikileaks. All of this points to the fact that corruption within facets of our government is deep and controlled by a few individuals. But the larger question is who controls them and how much financial gain are they receiving for their cooperation?

According to Wikileaks documents recently released, something called “Dark Matter” has been used by spy agencies in the USA to compromise iPhones, iPads, and computers running Windows 10. Surveillance programs are dropped onto these devices often after leaving the factory, intercepted, worked on, then sent on their way. Some of this has been going on since 2008 so there’s a good chance that the devices we use daily have been eavesdropping on us. While many on the Left will say, “Hey, I’ve got nothing to hide so if the government wants to spy on me, I have no worries,” that’s really besides the point. The fact that there are laws to protect the privacy of individuals are still in place yet it is clear that many of these laws have been ignored. Oh, and by the way, Julian Assange has stated that he has only released 1% of all CIA-related documents. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

But things may be starting to crack. Apparently, Weiner wants to turn state’s evidence in exchange for immunity. Other reports note that people in the Obama administration are wanting to do same. Wonder if that’s why Mr. Obama is out of the country for at least a month?

But all this is to say that we cannot be overwhelmed or sunk by the corruption that is being uncovered in America’s government. Ultimately, we know that whether or not it’s all uncovered and people are arrested, tried, and go to prison, the truth is that payday or should I say judgment day is coming for everyone.

That is the fantastic truth that all need to hear and become aware of before they pass from this life to the next. Only a few weeks ago, David Rockefeller died at the age of 101. He immediately entered eternity, that state of existence that never ends. There are only two possible options for the afterlife. Either a person is granted entrance into heaven because of the salvation they possess now, prior to their deaths, or they are shown the door to hell because of a salvation they never asked for or received.

We can and should work to bring about some measure of change in society. This is why laws are made, ostensibly to protect people and keep corruption at bay. However, don’t expend all your energy trying to correct wrongs in society. It may well be that you could make a difference in this realm. But the most important difference you and I can make is where eternity is concerned.

There are clearly very corrupt people in this world. We know the adage, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. It’s been happening since the fall of humanity and it will continue to happen in large part because people who become corrupt want to be corrupt. They do so because of some form of gain for themselves or because they’re too afraid to do anything different.

Bottom line. When you see evil in society anywhere, try to do something about it, if you can. Don’t ignore it or walk on by. However, unless you firmly believe God is leading you there, don’t rush to become thoroughly involved in uncovering evil and corruption in the world or our government. God may call some to do just that but I do not believe it is the calling for the average person.

The salvation of individuals is far more important than trying to uncover corruption that may end up remaining anyway. Ultimately, Jesus will deal with all of it – every last bit of it – upon His physical return. Do not be overwhelmed. Do not be cast down. Understand that even if strides are made against evil and corruption the world will still worsen. It’s all leading to Satan’s big day and his public stand against Jesus Christ, Lord, King, Messiah, and Savior.
