China’s leading tech giant, Lenovo has expanded its big-screen smartphone portfolio with a new device dubbed as Phab Plus. The new handset features a giant full-HD display, and is set to hit the market at a tempting price tag of CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 27,000). Its availability in local market will be handled by China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom telecom operators, but as of now, there is no word about availability outside China.
In terms of specifications, the new Lenovo Phab Plus totally stands out and features a 6.8-inch full-HD display with a pixel density of 326ppi. It packs an incredible visual experience, and goes straight against the likes of Huawei Ascend P8max, featuring same screen-size and pixel resolution. The big-display of this device has been powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chip with eight cores clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Vibe UI and boasts 32 gigs of internal memory, expandable via micro-SD card.
For photography enthusiasts, Lenovo Phab Plus boasts a 13-megapixel rear-autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, and an impressive 5MP front-facing snapper. It delivers ideal image quality under daylight and lowlight conditions, and comes with a bunch of features such as, HDR mode, panorama, and more.
On the connectivity front, the dual-sim based Lenovo Phab Plus features one micro-SIM card and other Nano-SIM card slot, and packs a bunch of options such as, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, and micro-USB 2.0. It features a 3.5mm audio jack, and also includes Dolby Atmos Surround Sound to provide spectacularly clear audio with rich bass. The power efficiency of this handset is also pretty impressive, and is supported by a long-lasting 3500mAh Li-ion battery. Phab Plus looks good enough to hold sufficient juice, but the company claims it can give up to 24 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours of standby time.
In a nutshell, the new Phab Plus looks like a great deal from Lenovo. Although, it feels hefty at 220 grams, yet its sleek form factor and alluring color variants make up a perfect package for big-screen lovers. The company has also unveiled new cases for this device, but their pricing and availability details are still under the wraps.
