Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu has finally launched its M2 Note phablet in the Indian market. The device has been priced at Rs. 9,999, and will be hitting the shelves exclusively via Amazon from August 10. It’s the successor of popular budget smartphone Meizu M1 Note, and was initially launched in China in the month of June.
In terms of specs, Meizu M2 Note looks a whole lot better than its predecessor, and boasts a 5.5-inch full-HD Sharp IGZO display with a pixel density of 403ppi. It has been upgraded under the hood, and powers up by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chip clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The M1 Note was powered by an older 1.3GHz Octa-core MT6752 chip.
The new Meizu M2 Note runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Flyme OS 4.0, and features brilliant camera capabilities with a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The primary camera of this device is equipped with a five element f/2.2 lens, dual LED flash, and blue glass IR filter, while the front-facing snapper comes with a 69-degree wide angle lens with f/2.0 aperture. The internal memory packed with this phone is 16 gigs, and is further expandable by up to 128GB via hybrid sim slot that also acts as a microSD card.
On the connectivity front, Meizu M2 Note packs standard support with a massive selection of options like, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, 4G LTE, and microUSB 2.0. Web browsing on this device is extremely smooth and music experience is simply ecstatic. However, the compatibility of this device with LTE bands in India is still not known!
Physically, Meizu M2 Note measures 150.9×75.2×8.7mm and weighs just around 149 grams on paper. It’s powered by a long-lasting battery of 3100mAh, and looks good enough to hold sufficient amount of charge throughout the day. The battery of this device is smaller than Meizu M1 Note, but its performance will certainly stay right on the mark on standard or core-usage. From August 10, the grey, pink, blue, and white color avatars of this device will roll in the Indian market, and will take on Lenovo K3 Note, Moto G (Gen 3) and Redmi Note 4G right away!
