Yu Yureka Plus Price Dropped on Amazon
Micromax’s spin-off Yu Televentures recently launched an improved avatar of its first smartphone, Yureka Plus. The device featured improved visual experience, and was priced at Rs. 9,999. However, this didn’t stayed for long, and the device got a price drop by Rs. 1,000. Currently, it’s available for purchase at a very competitive price tag of Rs. 8,999.
Yu announced this price drop on Monday, and highlighted this change on the website of its official ecommerce partner, Amazon India. Just inside two weeks of launch, Yu Televentures has taken a big leap to maintain the sale against leading players like Lenovo K3 Note, Xiaomi Note 4G, and the new Motorola Moto G (Gen 3). Yu customers will also get an Amazon gift voucher of Rs. 1,000 for next few days. The next flash sale for the device has been scheduled for Thursday August 6, and the registrations for this sale are open till Tuesday midnight.
The next Gen of Yu Yureka or the Yureka Plus smartphone runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop based-Cyanogen OS 12 right out-of-the box. It packs Cat 4 LTE connectivity, and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The previous generation of this device featured same screen size, but its pixel count of its IPS panel was restricted to 720×1280 pixels only.
Under the hood, Yu Yureka Plus has been powered by the same 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chip clocked at a frequency of 1.5GHz, clubbed with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. It features the same 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing snapper, and has been equipped with 16 gigs of built-in storage, and offers added expandability up to 32GB via external microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the dual-sim Yu Yureka Plus comes with a bunch of options like, Wi-Fi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0. It features a rich selection of sensors such as, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor, and ships with a long-lasting battery of 2500mAh. Along with original Moondust finish, Yureka Plus will also come in a new Alabaster White avatar.
The famous Yu Yureka has been receiving an incredible response, and with this price cut, its successor might give some real competition to the new Lenovo K3 Note and Moto G (Gen 3).
