This Thursday, renowned smartphone maker Celkon launched its all new Millennia 2GB Xpress with an impressive package of specs and design language. The powerful smartphone packs 2 gigs of RAM, and is set to hit the shelves real soon at an enticing price tag of Rs. 6,222. It comes with an alluring set of features, and looks like an ideal player to take on the new Canvas Xpress 2 and Redmi 2 smartphones.
On the specifications front, Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, powered by a quad-core chipset clocked at a frequency of 1.2GHz. The name of this chip hasn’t been highlighted, but you can definitely expect it give decent and lag-free performance on standard usage. Millennia 2GB Xpress runs the recent Android 4.4 KitKat straight out-of-the box, and comes with an efficient Power Saving Mode and Smart Assistant.
The camera setup packed with this device is also pretty impressive. The rear camera of this device is a 5-megapixel shooter, while front-facing camera is a 1.3-megapixel snapper. The primary shooter comes with features like LED flash and BSI1 autofocus, and serves well enough to produce quality images under lowlight and daylight conditions. The on-board storage packed with this phone is 16 gigs, and can be further expanded by upto 32 gigs via external microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the dual-sim Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress offers standard support with options like, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0. It offers smooth browsing experience, measures 133.5 x 66.5 x 10.1mm in dimension, and weighs just around 134 grams for giving a comfortable and firm grip.
At the launch, the Chairman and Director of Celkon Mobiles, Y Guru said, “The Celkon Millennia 2GB Xpress offers a combination of Smart Commands, Smart Assistant and Smart Power Saving Mode along with 2GB RAM & 16GB ROM. The new Millennia 2GB Xpress goes completely in-line with another Celkon smartphone, Millennia Xplore. It falls behind in terms of camera and battery capabilities, but features more RAM for faster and glitch free processing.
