Samsung’s next global event is just a few away, and several leaks and updates about the next big thing have been coming in from all ends. Most of us expect to see Galaxy Note 5 with a nice set specs, and the recently leaked innards are just showing some major downfalls in the next Galaxy Phablet. However, the device still looks fairly well built and appealing!
According to reports, Droid Life has received live images of Galaxy Note 5, flaunting a classy look for angles. The device looks identical to its predecessor from the front, and boasts metal bezels on the sides. The leaks also reveal S Pen and some essential elements including, microUSB port, speaker, and headphone jack. Initially, Galaxy Note 5 was expected to show up with USB Type-C connectivity, but these leaks direct us towards microUSB support only. According to Droid Life, the three storage variants (32/64/128GB) of Galaxy Note 5 are likely to show up with 4GB of RAM, no microSD card slot, and a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
The new leaks highlight air command feature in Galaxy Note 5 with options like, Smart select, screen write, S Note, Action memo, settings, and Instagram. The home screen looks pretty decent, and the added option of Instagram gives a clear idea of better customization options.
Along with this, another leak via AnTuTu listing has highlighted the specs of Galaxy Note 5 and its dual edge variant, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The leak shows specs of Samsung SM-N920C speculated as Galaxy Note 5 and SM-G928F as Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. According to this leak, Note 5 is likely to feature a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, powered by company’s own Exynos 7420 chip clocked, at frequency of 2.1GHz, coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. The camera setup of this device is said to be identical to Galaxy S6 with 16-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.
Its dual-edge variant or S6 Edge Plus, on the other, is expected to feature a smaller 5.5-inch display with 2K resolution, powered by the same octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The benchmark score of Galax Note 5 was 69,702, and was slightly better than S6 Edge Plus with a score 68,345.
