Samsung has finally announced the launch of its latest flagships, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, at the MWC 2016 trade show. The new smartphones launched by the South-Korean giant take away drawbacks of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, and flaunt an exquisite package of mind-boggling features, top-notch specs, and stunning aesthetics. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will hit the shelves in select regions starting from March 11, and will be up for pre-orders from coming Tuesday!

Samsung Galaxy S7 Specs:

The all new Samsung Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 577 pixels per inch, while its elder sibling Galaxy S7 Edge sports a 5.5-inch dual-curved Super AMOLED display with 514 pixels-per inch. Both display panels come protected with Corning Gorilla Glass (unspecified version), and feature always-on-display technology, which enables you to check time, date, and other basic information without waking up the device, just like the LG G5.

On the hardware front, Samsung has opted for the dual way with its flagship Exynos 8890 octa-core SoC or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset. Depending upon region, both Galaxy S7 models will incorporate either of the two processors with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32/64 GB of inbuilt storage. But, the best part is the inclusion of microSD card slot. This time in some regions, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will come with dual SIM capabilities, where one NANO Sim card slot can be utilized as a hybrid to insert microSD card for memory expansion up to 200GB.

Apart from small tweaks here and there, the biggest bump up in Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is on the camera front. Notably, the pixel count on the rear camera has been reduced from 16-megapixels to 12-megapixels, but the aperture size has been reduced to f/1.7, which will take low-light photography to a whole new level. The 5-megapixel front-facing snapper also features an aperture as wide as f/1.7!

Other upgrades in Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge include iP68 certification for water and dust proofing, and increase in battery capabilities. The Galaxy S7 now has a 3000 mAh battery, while its elder sibling has a 3600 mAh battery. They both incorporate wired and wireless fast charging tech, and pack a plethora of advanced connectivity options such as, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and Cat 9 LTE technology.
