After a successful open sale earlier this week, Chinese giant Xiaomi has announced another open sale for its 2016 flagship Mi 5. The March launched device has been hitting the shelves successfully via flash sale model for Rs. 24,999, and has posed serious threats against leading giants. It will be available without registrations on May 4, but this time not with Redmi Note 3. The company has announced that apart from the Xiaomi Mi 5, the 20000mAh Power Bank will also be available without registrations.
Xiaomi Mi 5 specs:
To recall, this is the “Standard Edition” of Mi 5 which showed up alongside the Pro variant. It incorporates a 5.15-inch full-HD IPS display with curved 3D ceramic glass and Gorilla Glass 4 protection, and endows picture perfect visuals with 428 pixels per inch. It delivers smooth and lag-free on heavy usage, and makes use of Qualcomm’s latest in the line Snapdragon 820 octa-core SoC, with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The hardware performance of this device is really good, and gets even better with Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7.
The camera setup bundled with Mi 5 is also quite tempting. It bears a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 rear camera sensor with PDAF, four axis optical image stabilization and a 4-megapixel front-facing shooter with 2µm pixel size and a slew of features such as beautify, Geo-tagging, and HDR. Both back and front camera feature an aperture as wide as f/2.0, and deliver vibrant and sharp images in all environments. In fact, Xiaomi makes the entire “on-the-go” photography thing better than ever with a big 3000 mAh battery paired with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 tech. It refills the battery from 0 to 100 percent just within two hours, and outperforms most phones quite easily.
The connectivity options on the sleek and slim Xiaomi Mi 5 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, NFC, 3G, 4G, Voice on LTE, and USB Type-C reversible connector. It delivers blazing download speeds on 4G, and makes a complete flagship package under 25k. The company currently offers this handset via its own store, but as per recent updates, soon it will be available via other stores as well.
The 20000 mAh Power Bank, on the other side, is the one with highest capacity from Xiaomi. It has been priced at Rs. 1,699, and offers fast charging benefits.
