According to reports, both legs of a homeless man in the city of Hamedan (western Iran) were cut off on New Year’s Eve due to the cold. This homeless person, who did not have any place to sleep at night in the scorching cold, slept on a cardboard in front of the police station on Hamedan – Qazvin road where both his legs suffered severe frostbite and had to be cut off.
