Zuckerberg Wants to Meet With Glenn Beck Regarding Blacklisting Conservatives
Good News! Mark Zuckerberg says he has no bias against conservatives, and has asked to meet with with Glenn Beck in particular to prove it. He just has one condition: No one pro-trump is allowed to attend. Well, I’m convinced he’s sincere, how about you?
Facebook Founder Zuckerberg is set to meet with conservatives this week… but only Anti-Trump conservatives. The purpose of the meeting is to address the alleged suppression of conservative news stories on Facebook.
The list of attendees is a who’s who of Trump bashers: Glenn Beck, Dana Perino, S. E. Cupp, Arthur Brooks from American Enterprise Institute and Zac Moffatt, Mitt Romney’s former digital director.
CNN reported:
Mark Zuckerberg invited prominent conservative media figures, including Glenn Beck and Dana Perino, to a meeting at Facebook’s headquarters this week.
The meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, is aimed at addressing the alleged suppression of conservative news stories in Facebook’s “trending” stories section.
Along with Perino and Beck, other confirmed attendees include Arthur Brooks of the American Enterprise Institute, CNN conservative commentator SE Cupp, and Zac Moffatt, co-founder of tech firm Targeted Victory. Moffatt was previously Mitt Romney’s digital director.
“I’m going in with an open mind and an eagerness to learn more,” Cupp said. “Conservatives and Silicon Valley actually come down on the same side of many issues and share some common concerns. I’m sure we’ll find plenty to talk about, and I’m honored to have been included.”
The tech blog Gizmodo published the anonymously sourced claims on Monday. Facebook (FB, Tech30) has said that it is investigating and that it has found no evidence to back up the claims.
About the meeting, Glenn Beck says:
“It would be interesting to look him in the eye as he explains and a win for all voices if we can come to a place of real trust with this powerful tool,” Beck wrote on Facebook.

You probably saw earlier this week that reports suggested Facebook was censoring conservative news stories in favor of ones that leaned Left.
Now, Facebook founder Jesse Eisenberg Mark Zuckerberg wants to meet with conservative radio host Glenn Beck to discuss the issue.

Following disputed reports that Facebook has blacklisted certain news organizations, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reached out to Glenn Beck, founder of TheBlaze, which was reportedly one of the avoided outlets, to set up a meeting next week.
In a post to Facebook, Beck wrote that he was contacted Saturday morning by Zuckerberg’s office about going to visit him in Menlo Park, California, this coming Wednesday.
“Mark wanted to meet with eight or 10 of us to explain what happened and assure us that it won’t happen again,” Beck wrote. “How does a company who allowed voices to be heard in Iran and Egypt, which sparked revolution, silence voices of anyone here?”
Beck went on to write that he is working to rearrange his schedule so he can sit down with Zuckerberg, adding that it would be a “win for all voices if we can come to a place of real trust with this powerful tool.”
“Facebook is, to me, a tool not unlike radio, TV or even the telephone,” Beck wrote. “It is as wide as broadcast, but as personal as the telephone. We can connect with one another the world over unlike anything man has ever seen before.”
Facebook has denied that they were censoring conservative news.
It will be interesting to hear what Beck says about the meeting if it takes place, and what will happen going forward.
