Dropbox Pro Unveiled and Permanent Price Discount for Oneplus One
The flagship killer OnePlus One smartphone has been given a permanent price cut in US and eligible European countries. At the first place, this discount was available for a limited time period, but now, it has been made permanent by the company. The 16GB and 64GB variant of OnePlus One packed a rich-set of specifications with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, powered by Snapdragon 801 processor and 3 gigs of RAM. Moreover, with Cyanogen Mod 11, both storage variants of the device offered an excellent smartphone experience at a reasonable price point.
According to the discount offer, the 16GB Silk White variant of OnePlus One was sold at a price tag of $249 and EUR 249 (Rs. 16,000 approx.), while the Sandstone Black variant of 64 gigs was sold for $299 and EUR 299 (roughly Rs. 19,000). Both smartphones attracted a large number of buyers during the sale, but since some missed the opportunity, OnePlus announced,” We want to ensure that all of our fans have the opportunity to get the Flagship Killer at this special price, which leads us to some big news: the OnePlus One now starts at $249, permanently,”
According to the company, efficient operation is the main reason behind reduced price of the handset. By reducing the cost of components, assembly, and engineering, the company has been able to offer a discount of $50 on the original price of the smartphone. After permanent discount in US and Europe, Indian market is also expecting a discount on the feature-rich device. But, as of now, there is no such information for India.
Along with price discounts, OnePlus has also partnered with renowned cloud storage firm, Dropbox. According to this partnership, customers buying the 64GB variant of OnePlus One smartphone will be getting free subscription from Dropbox for one year. Being one of the best cloud storage service, under this subscription, Dropbox will offer 1TB of space for cloud storage, link sharing services, image backups for OnePlus One, and capability benefits with most smartphone and PC platforms.
However, this offer from the company will be available only for a limited period of time in Canada, US, and eligible European countries.
