Recently, Asus unveiled new smartphones at its ZenFestival, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone Max. All four Lollipop-based smartphones come with a nice set of specs, and offer dual-sim support with 4G LTE capabilities. The new ZenFone Selfie will be coming at Rs. 15,999, ZenFone at Rs. 22,999, and all three variants of ZenFone Laser at Rs. 9,999, Rs. 13,999, and Rs. 17,999. The price of ZenFone Max hasn’t been revealed, and will be hitting the shelves real soon in October 2015.
The selfie-focused Asus ZenFone selfie was first launched at Computex 2015. The device sports a 13-megapixel rear and front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture, 28mm focal length, laser autofocus, and dual-color real tone flash. It’s a perfect companion for camera lovers, and has been powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip clocked at 1.7GHz, and coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 405GPU.
The base model of ZenFone 2 Laser comes with Snapdragon 410 chipset and 2GB RAM, and the other two come with Snapdragon 615 SoC, coupled with 3GB RAM and Adreno 405GPU. The ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE550KL) model sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, features a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and is backed by a long-lasting battery of 3000mAh. In terms of specs, ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) also goes in line with the other two variants, but it features a bigger 6-inch full HD display, and gives a better viewing experience. The prolific camera capabilities complimented by laser autofocus is the biggest highlight of all three variants.
The new ZenFone 2 Deluxe, on the other hand, features the same specs as the original Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML model. It has been powered by an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, expandable by up to 128 gigs. However, the look of this device looks slightly changed with a different back-panel.
The yet-to-be launched ZenFone Max will hit the shelves in October. It sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, powered by Snapdragon 410 chip, and is perfectly backed by a long-lasting battery of 5000mAh. With 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, the hardware specs of this device appear completely identical to the base model of Asus ZenFone 2 Laser. However, added battery support is a major plus point for power-users.
