After the massive success of Aqua Dream, Intex has launched its successor Aqua Dream II in the budget segment. The device follows the line of its predecessor, and features a razor sharp display backed by a long-lasting battery. Currently, it has been listed on company’s official website at Rs. 7,190, and is expected to be announced just within a day or two by Intex.
In terms of detailed specs, Aqua Dream II sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs the recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the box, and features decent camera capabilities with an 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing snapper. The rear camera of this device produces decent snaps, and comes with a bunch of features like, autofocus, HDR, automatic sense, color effect, continuous shots, panorama, and much more. It offers sufficient room for app and media storage, and comes with 8 gigs of on-board storage which can be further increased by up to 32GB with microSD card.
On the connectivity front, Intex Aqua Dream II offers standard support with a bunch of features like 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, and microUSB 2.0. It packs prolific browsing experience, and ships with a number of sensors such as, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The entire performance of this device is really good, and is perfectly backed by a 2300mAh battery, which can last throughout the day, and give up to 10 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time on standard usage.
On paper, Aqua Dream II measures 157x79x7.9mm and weighs just around 171 grams. It features a decent look from all angles, and will hit the market in Champagne, Black, and Silver color options. Intex has been launching some really powerful smartphones in the budget segment. Recently, the budget smartphone maker launched LTE-enabled Cloud 4G star with a great set of specs.
The device comes at an enticing price tag, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out-of-the box, and powers up by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chip, coupled with 2GB of RAM. It packs a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing snapper, and boasts 16 gigs of built-in storage of app data and media files.
