At IFA 2015, budget smartphone maker Alcatel has announced a bunch of new toys for tech-enthusiasts. This time, the company has unveiled OneTouch Pop Star, OneTouch Pop Up, and OneTouch Go Play smartphones alongside OneTouch Xess Tablet, and an alluring OneTouch Go smartwatch.
Talking about smartphones, the new Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star packs a decent of specs, and has been launched with swappable back-covers, made from materials ranging from plastic to leather. It looks pretty impressive, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and features a 5-inch HD IPS display coupled with 1GB of RAM and a 2000mAh battery. It boasts an 8MP and 5MP camera, and comes in 3G and 4G versions. The 3G variant has been powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 chip clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 8GB ROM, while the 4G avatar is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor paired with 16GB ROM.
The new Alcatel OneTouch Popup features improved innards, but is not highly customizable. The new device boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by Snapdragon 610 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The camera setup of this device includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. It gives a premium feel with a metal running around, and will come in Black, Amber Orange, Riva Blue, Strawberry Red, and White color options.
Along OneTouch Star and Pop Up, Alcatel also announced OneTouch Go Play smartphone alongside an impressive Go Watch. The shock-proof and IP67 certified waterproof phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and boasts a 5-inch HD TFT display, powered by Snapdragon 410 coupled with 1GB of RAM. The new handset includes an 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, and has been equipped with 8GB inbuilt storage, out-of-which 4GB is available for users.
Alcatel OneTouch GoPlay is backed by a 2500mAh battery, and is perfectly complimented by the new Go Watch. This smartwatch runs company’s own operating system, and features the same IP certification for water and dust-proofing. It sports a 1.22-inch LCD IPS display, and is powered by a cortex-M4 based processor clocked at 180MHz. The new wearable offers support for Android and iOS, and can be charged via micro-USB cable as well.
And finally, the tech-giant showcased it’s all new Xess tablet, made up of stainless steel. The device features a 17.3-inch 10-point full-HD display, and is powered by a MediaTek MT8783T chip with eight cores clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, boasts 32GB of internal memory, and is backed by a long-lasting 10000mAh battery.
The new tablet houses a built-in stand and stylus for better usage experience. It packs a great look from all angles, features dual-JBL speakers and standard USB ports, and comes with a bunch added accessories.
