In last few weeks, the upcoming LG-made Nexus 5 (2015) has created a buzz around tech world. The device has been wrapped with rumors, and this time around, it has been surfaced in a new leak, revealing new specifications alongside a launch date for September-end. Leaked by Android Police, the specs of LG Nexus 5 (2015) go in-line with recent innards, and point out the device as a “sub-flagship level” phone with a tempting set of specs.
Collaborating with previous leak, LG Nexus 5 (2015) has been speculated to feature a 5.2-inch full-HD display, powered by Snapdragon 808 chip coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 418 GPU. It is said to feature a 5MP front-facing snapper and USB Type-C too. The addition of USB Type-C, however, is not a major surprise as Google’s next big release, Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been designed with native support for USB Type-C standard!
Along with basic innards, LG Nexus 5 (2015) has also been tipped to feature a bigger 2700mAh battery. The original Nexus 5 packed a 2300mAh, but this one, looks slightly better for power users. For rear camera, the device has been rumored to feature a 13MP or 12MP shooter. A previous leak highlighted a 13-megapixel snapper, while the latest one mentioned a 12.3-megapixel shooter. The upgraded Nexus 5 will be packing a nice set of specs, and will come in the same 16/32GB avatars with no options for further expansion.
Moving ahead, the latest leak from Android Police also suggested late September as the launch time for Nexus 5 (2015). Although there is no confirmation from Google, several leaks and rumors have been pointing that LG and Huawei are working on next Nexus devices set to launch with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The “near final” build for Android 6.0 was released few days back, and soon, the stable version will also be unveiled with the next Nexus phones.
The Huawei-made Nexus has been speculated to feature a big-display, while the upgraded Nexus 5 (2015) will be coming with a smaller one. Few days back, renowned video creator, Marques Brownlee highlighted the rear-panel of alleged LG Nexus 5 (2015) with center-placed camera module, dual-tone flash, and a fingerprint sensor.
