Lenovo Vibe Shot India Launch Scheduled For Next Tuesday
According to recent reports, Chinese tech giant Lenovo has started sending out media invites for the launch of its photography focused Vibe shot smartphone. The device was launched earlier this year at MWC trade show, and was awaited eagerly in India because of its prolific camera capabilities. Amar Babu, company’s VP, COO, and APAC Chairman also confirmed the launch last month, but now finally, a date has been given for the event.
As the name suggests, the biggest highlight of Lenovo Vibe Shot is its prolific rear and front-facing shooter. The device boasts an incredible 16-megapixel rear camera with a six-piece modular lens, optical image stabilization, tri-color LED flash, and a BSI sensor. The camera of this device is a perfect companion for photography enthusiasts, and delivers ideal images in dark conditions with its full-frame 16:9 lowlight sensor. At the global launch, the company also highlighted the fact that the infrared focus of Vibe Shot performs two times faster than normal autofocus, and gives a nice platform to those who like to play with focus. It also comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera with video capturing capabilities up to 1080p.
On the specifications front, the dual-SIM based Lenovo Vibe Shot sports a sharp 5-inch full-HD display enriched with IPS technology and 441 pixels-per-inch. It enjoys protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chip with eight cores clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. The performance of this device is really impressive, and is further supported by 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 128GB via micro-SD card.
As for connectivity, the Lenovo Vibe Shot packs a bunch of options which includes, 4G LTE, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, and micro-USB 2.0. The device offers enhanced user experience with accelerometer, compass, and proximity sensors, but as of now, there is still no word whether it will support LTE bands deployed in India.
The powerful mid-range device tips on the scale at 7.3mm, weighs around 145 grams, and powers up by a 3000mAh battery. It will be coming in three color variants Crimson, Graphite Grey, Pearl White), and is expected to show up at a price around INR 20,000.
