After a powerful start last month, Reliance Jio continues to expand its product line up under the LYF brand. This time, the company has launched LYF Flame 1 budget 4G phone, priced at a tempting Rs. 6,490. The new beauty unleashed by Reliance Retail endows an ideal package with powerful innards and good looks. It has been listed on company’s online retail store, Reliance Digital, and is currently up for grabs in Red, Black, and White colour options.
Notably, LYF Flame 1 is company’s fourth smartphone under the LYF brand after LYF Earth 1, Water 1, and Water 2. It is the cheapest member of the family offering advanced LTE connectivity with support for Indian LTE bands.
On the specifications front, Reliance Ji Flame 1 stands out with a sharp 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a screen-resolution of 480×854 pixels. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the box, and powers up by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 SoC clocked at 1.1 GHz coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory. The on-board storage equipped with this handset offers sufficient room for work and play, but if required, it can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
But, the main USP of LYF Flame 1 is its prolific camera setup. At a price well below Rs. 10,000, the budget 4G handset incorporates a 5-megapixel shooter on both ends. The rear camera of the device ships with a flash and delivers sharp and bright images in all environments, while the front-facing snapper performs terrifically with wide-angle selfies. It pairs up with a bunch of modes (face detection, blink detection, and smile detection), and delivers vibrant selfies with delays in shutter speed or focusing.
Moreover, even on the connectivity front, LYF Flame 1 makes a strong impression against leading budget players. The handset features advanced LTE connectivity for faster downloads and uploads, and includes all basic options such as, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, and microUSB 2.0. It endows a seamless browsing experience, and supports Indian 4G bands- TDD Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD Band 3 (1800MHz). Plus, the 2000 mAh battery bundled with this handset offers more than enough juice to keep things up and running throughout the day. It is rated to give 8 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time under normal usage.
