DARPA: Genetically Modified Humans For a Super Soldier Army
Doesn’t this seem like the exact kind of news that a country devoid of any moral compass in recent years should be experimenting with? Why should any of this shock us really? After all, it seems only natural that we should have soldiers than do not eat or sleep for days and then re-grow lost limbs right there on the battlefield right? Likewise goes for soldiers who can lift more than Olympic athletes and simultaneously communicate to one another “telepathically.” What doesn’t sound “normal” about that right? Unless it’s YOUR son or daughter they are turning into a cyborg.
In 2013, I posted an article of the DARPA website about the Department of Defense implanting microchips into the brains of soldiers with PTSD. In my humble opinion, they would be the LAST people I’d experiment with Microchips in their brains, because they’ve been through enough, but that’s our government for you. When I wen to access that same story directly off DARPA’s webpage, I got the following error message:

Like so many things under this administration, all traces have been removed after it was discovered. The exact webpage was: http://www.darpa.mil/NewsEvents/Releases/2013/10/25.aspx. As it so happens, I just happen to have an archive of what that page said in my database in an article titled: D.O.D. to Implant Mind Controlling Microchips Into Soldier’s Brains.
Among other things, that can be found here, the page said:
Justin Sanchez, a program manager for The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), said recently that use of the implant units, “…is a push toward innovative, informed and precise neurotechnological therapy to produce major improvements in quality of life for service members and veterans who have very few options with existing therapies. These are patients for whom current medical understanding of diseases like chronic pain or fatigue, unmanageable depression or severe post-traumatic stress disorder can’t provide meaningful relief.”Since the wars in the Middle East have started, most veterans have been treated with a litany of prescription medications for depression and P.T.S.D., many of those medications contributing to the mass suicide epidemic among our troops in the U.S., the current rate of which is 22 a day, according to many.
However, and what is scary, is the fine print at the bottom of the D.O.D.’s plans for the implants- a plan that goes beyond treating depression and pain. The plan will also include devising a means of monitoring soldiers in combat conditions, and applying “deep brain stimulation” in real-time.
Put your imagination to work in regard to just what that phrase can mean. Why, the possibilities are endless.

We already know DARPA is working with Nanobot Internet Brain Implants That Can Provide Super Intelligence by connecting the human mind to the Internet for limitless information, and we know former DARPA head Regina Dugan now works at Google and is Creating Machines to Hunt Humans (Videos). Who knows why Google needs THAT, but clearly there is some sort of partnership between the two firms, and NONE of it sounds moral, ethical, or humane.

The days when the Army sent in ground troops without robots are long past. At the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual conference, (AUSA) even the trucks were at least partially robotic. As Training and Doctrine Command’s Maj. Gen. Cedric Wins recently said, robot steering offers “advantages that would provide additional protection to forces, or relief, or allow other soldiers to do other things.

N³’s Gary Franchi breaks down the top 5 most killer military toys for 2015.
“This is like straight out of the movie Terminator,” Franchi said, talking about the autonomous HDT Global Micro Utility Vehicle that can be outfitted with an auto turret. What a mean piece of machinery.
Franchi went on during the broadcast to talk about the “Switchblade” drone which “shoots out of a mortar” and “can make your day Hell if you are on the receiving end of it.”
Another not so “sexy” unmanned aerial vehicle called the “Arrow”, which “looks like a small plane”, was also showcased at the Association of the U.S. Army’s (AUSA) Annual Conference. Apparently the robot has autonomous takeoff and landing capabilities as well.
Lastly Franchi spoke about an autonomous gun-turret wielding riverboat that looks scary a Hell.

You’ve seen it as science-fiction on TV or in the movies, but now it’s science-fact. I’m talking about the Pentagon’s DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) creation of a super soldier army with super human abilities achieved through genetic modification. Going on for some years, shrouded in secrecy, these mutants will make future wars totally different games.
The genetic modification of specific human genes will give these soldiers certain characteristics advantageous on the battlefield, giving rise to the most amazing abilities and performances.

Smarter, sharper, more focused and more physically stronger than their enemy counterparts these soldiers will be capable of telepathy, run faster than Olympic champions, lift record-breaking weights through the development of exoskeletons, re-grow limbs lost in combat, possess a super-strong immune system, go for days and days without food or sleep…
Then there’s the emotional side. These soldiers will have the empathy genes deleted and show no mercy, while devoid of fear… Even more disturbingly, the “Human Assisted Neural Devices program” involving brain control allows the ‘joystick’ remote operation of soldiers from some far away control center.
All this has been revealed, even in mainstream media. In spite of the secrecy, fiction writer Simon Conway was allowed into the Pentagon’s DARPA and given a guided tour… Doesn’t this suggest that DARPA are well into the final stages and they want us to get used to the idea of a genetically modified super soldier army?
The type of super human characteristics that have been developed (or are in the development stages) in the soldiers is indicated by funding allocations. For example, DARPA has handed out a $40 million grant to California and Pennsylvania Universities to develop memory-controlling implants.
It has also been revealed that DARPA awarded $9.9 million to the Institute for Preclinical Studies Texas A&M University to develop a means of surviving significant blood loss. This would overcome the normal difficulties in requiring life-saving medical treatment immediately after combat injury which is known to be difficult to give during the complications and dangers encountered on the battlefield.
Another characteristic in development is having the soldiers genetically modified to hibernate throughout winter. There is a gene in squirrels that produces an enzyme in the pancreas which enables this ability. This gene can be taken from the squirrel and inserted into solders…
Summary… some serious points to consider
1. It has to be remembered that wars are secretly manufactured for power, profit and political gain. So all the massive funding gone into these projects only goes into supporting false pretexts created by the powers that be for their own selfish means to an end...regardless of the consequences. There’s never enough money for humanity but always a blank check for war…
2. As history has shown us, any advantage created will sooner or later be matched by the enemy. Human genetic modification technology for military advantages shouldn’t be any different and will be matched as a response by the enemy after their realization that the technology exists. Indeed, this in effect cancels out any advantages as in the historic case of the nuclear arms race with the political superpowers and now with the global drone arms race.
3. Are we civilians next? Will the genetic modification technology extend into civilians? Rather than give us anything to our advantage will it be used for dumbing down and control in a scientific dictatorship? What about those memory-controlling implants mentioned?
Consider the sinister implications: Remember the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Total Recall involving false memory implants?
4. When it comes to genetic modification there are always the dangers related to tinkering with life: What about the long-term consequences and the spread of these genes over generations?
What about the potential irreversible damages as in those related to the transhumanist agenda? As Geoffrey Ling, DARPA director at the Technologies Office, said to Agence France Presse “It is risky…” – Well, he should know!
5. Last but not least there are the ethical considerations…What will be the humanitarian cost? Could this by design lead us down the road to Hell?

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, better known by the acronym DARPA, is the Pentagon’s super-secret entity responsible for developing all kinds of advanced weapons and other systems, including your ability to read this story. Now they are helping the Pentagon make a better soldier.
Business Finance News reports that DARPA has begun a heavily funded project to “enhance human ability in war zones, by altering the genetic code (recipe) of their soldiers.” The aim is to achieve battlefield supremacy by making soldiers who lack empathy and are smarter, more focused, and much stronger than enemy counterparts.
The research is taking place under a relatively new scientific field called genetic engineering, wherein scientists conduct research and experiment with the “cookbook” of a person’s genetic make-up.
Business Finance News stated:
All life forms have their own recipe, and just like food, there are a finite number of ingredients to choose from. Combination of different ingredients in different proportions makes different life forms. Genetic engineers are practically capable of making glow in the dark babies, by simply adding certain genetic codes of jellyfish into the human genetic code.
Zombie soldiers? (More to Come On This Later)
The research that has been conducted so far looks promising. It suggests that DARPA’s so-called super soldiers could one day even grow new limbs they have lost in combat, which is something that has been tested already on mice.
As for the part of the brain that is responsible for empathy and mercy, scientists have found that it can be effectively shut off using gene therapy. This would essentially create a soldier who is oblivious to fear, fatigue and emotions.
However, what makes this even more disturbing, BFN noted, is the “Human Assisted Neutral Devices program” that focuses on brain control. The result could be a next-generation biological war “machine” controllable via a sophisticated “joystick.”
A zombie soldier, if you will.
DARPA’s efforts to create super soldiers dates back years. As reported by Wired magazine in December 2009 as the U.S. was sending a “surge” of 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, researchers were working with pigs to find a way stop bleeding injuries by turning them into semi-undead.
“If it works out,” Wired‘s Katie Drummond wrote, “we humans could be the next ones to be zombified.”
DARPA awarded Texas A&M University’s Institute for Preclinical Studies a $9.9 million contract to develop medical treatments that would extend a “golden period” when traumatically injured troops would have the best chance of surviving massive blood loss. Researchers were aware that the evacuation and treatment of such individuals in the thick of battle within the all-important one-hour window is often impossible.
Drummond reported that the institute’s research was based on previous DARPA-funded projects, one of which theorized that humans might one day mimic the hibernation abilities of squirrels – who are able to survive unscathed for months on end through winter – by using a pancreatic enzyme that humans have in common.
GMO soldiers
In August 2012, the UK’s Daily Mail reported that DARPA research was focusing on “GMO” troops – making them run as fast as Olympic champions and able to regenerate lost limbs.
The paper further reported:
According to the U.S. Army’s plans for the future, their soldiers will be able to carry huge weights, live off their fat stores for extended periods and even regrow limbs blown apart by bombs.
The plans were revealed by novelist Simon Conway, who was granted behind-the-scenes access to the Pentagon’s high-tech Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
DARPA has long experimented with exoskeletons, which are machines that assist normal soldiers in ways that permit them to lift weights far in excess what a normal human being can lift and run at far greater speeds.
The agency’s most controversial research has been in the area of genetically modifying a human to perform tasks and function in ways that are currently not feasible, the Daily Mail noted.
In particular, modifications would include developing soldiers who could go for as many as 40 hours without sleep, carry heavy loads, go days without eating and communicate telepathically.
