Mid Day Infomedia Limited Launches FullyFilmi.com, A Portal Dedicated To Bollywood
Mid Day Infomedia Limited that owns the Mumbai tabloid Mid Day has launched FullyFilmi.com, an online portal dedicated to Bollywood and Indian cinema. The company says the idea behind FullyFilmi is not just to cater to hardcore Bollywood fans but to also to those who take the movie business seriously. The site provides information on latest events also movie reviews.
Janhavi Samant, Editor, FullyFilmi.com says, “FullyFilmi will go one step further than just entertainment news. It will not only bring film buffs the hottest news and events from B-towns but it will also bring fans closer to their stars and the filmi world.”
This site already has competition as there are many similar established sites currently running that are based on all things Bollywood. Some of these are glamsham.com, bollywoodhungama.com, bollywoodworld.com and even bollywood.com. Almost all these sites provide similar (if not the same) Bollywood news and photos. As of now, FullyFilmi.com, does not have a separate interview section (bollywood.com and bollyworld.com do) nor does it have a lot to offer in the events section – the last updated event was the press meet to celebrate the success of Kya Super Cool Hain Hum.
Given that the site has only recently been launched it will take time for each section to go live. However, the challenge will remain to provide content that is genuinely different and beyond what the competition already offers.
Mid Day is a part of Jagran Prakarshan Ltd, which is a large media and communications group. Apart from the local Mumbai tabloid, the media house also runs Sunday Mid Day, Gujarati Mid Day, Inquilab (Urdu Daily) and Mid Day Entertainment.
