An HTC press event at New York City is going to be held on 19th of September and the chances are there that HTC could come up with at least one or more than one Windows Phone 8 smartphones. According to a leaked document, the names of the upcoming smartphones running on Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system are HTC 8X, HTC Rio, and HTC Zenith.
HTC already launched two Windows Phone 7 smartphones, but both devices unable to catch customer interest because of the average features. At the time Samsung is currently leading the Android smartphone market and HTC nowhere near the Samsung. Therefore, with the launch of Windows Phone 8, it may increase some customers of the HTC. Currently, Nokia is the only company that mostly associated with the Windows Phone operating system.
Among the expected smartphones to be announced at HTC event, the HTC 8X, aka Accord has already been leaked. The HTC 8X features a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of built in storage, an 8 megapixel camera HTC’s ImageSense chipset, and a 4.3-inch HD display. It is also reported that HTC 8X is currently being tested for Verizon’s network and most importantly it is compatible with the Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
