Off grid living Grow your own food – save thousands
Step #3
It has been said that to control the people, you need to control the food supply. Wouldn’t you like to be free and not
worry about where your next meal is coming from? Keep reading because in this blog I will share with you how you can
grow your own food supply and save thousands of dollars. I will also direct you to the resources to get you started now.
I am going to share with you how you can start to grow your own food and not be reliant on the grocery store. Think
about the hundreds or even thousands of dollars you could save every year!
The ability to grow your own food is probably the most liberating thing you can do. If you know that you will be feed no
matter what you income is and that you do not have to depend on what food is available at the grocery store (especially
during a disaster) then you will gain a great deal of calm and security.
Many people just think they can start a garden when things get bad but it really is not that easy. Many crops can take
from a few months to 6 months or more to bear food and fruit tress and take years. The other issue is that certain crops
may grow well in some areas of the country but not others. So this is something else you need to research. And the last
concern is that farming your own food takes practice. Your first crops may not come in because of weather, insects or
even your ability to learn how to farm foods. My suggestion is even if you do not have that off grid home yet, you should
plant some items in your yard or pots in your home if you do not have a yard and learn how to farm. Don’t wait till its too
late to develop these skills. Many people think these are simple skills but they really are not. You can go to these sites
listed here for more information on how to start your own food supply.
