The speculation of BlackBerry’s first Android phone, Venice has further gained some momentum with a new leak revealing on-screen keyboard of the alleged device. As of now, the launch of this phone hasn’t been confirmed by BlackBerry, but looks like, it will be coming real soon the global scenario.
The image showing off on-screen keyboard of the alleged BlackBerry device has been posted on CrackBerry forum. It doesn’t details much, except an Android-like keyboard rather than old-school yet effective keyboard from BlackBerry OS. Along with the image, no other details about this device were mentioned.
The alleged BlackBerry Venice is speculated to feature a swift on-screen keyboard for quick keyboard access to take down notes, while the physical keyboard, featured right below the slider display of this device is tipped to be designed for heavy usage purposes, like sending emails or creating word docs.
In terms of specs, the alleged BlackBerry phone has been speculated to feature a dual-edge curved display just like, Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge+. It has been tipped to sport a 5.4-inch Quad-HD display, powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 chip with six cores, paired 3GB of RAM and updated GPU. The camera setup of this device is likely to feature an 18-megapixel primary, and a 5-megapixel secondary shooter. The global and India-based launch of BlackBerry Venice is yet awaited, but first of all, it is said to be coming on AT&T, the renowned telecom operator in United States.
Few weeks back, BlackBerry introduced its Android Secured website for offering security tips and updates. BlackBerry, being a master of secured services, offers a list of videos and content relating to Android security glitches, for the benefit of Enterprise users. However, the company still looks eager to bring its first Android-based smartphone to reestablish itself in the smartphone industry. John Chen, the CEO of the BlackBerry mentioned that the company is willing to manufacture an Android phone, as long as it’s not affecting safety issues by any means.
Since its inception, BlackBerry has been focusing a lot on security aspect of its devices, and now, it looks like that the new Android-based from the company will also be a perfect masterpiece for maintaining data security.
