Following the massive success of Windows 10, Microsoft focused more into its Garage Project, and launched a new product for its mobile operating platform. Dubbed as Photo Story, the new app automatically creates a themed video by arranging best representative photos from an event. Following the line of Sony, Microsoft has also created a perfect Phone Story App for creating, editing, and sharing customized videos with a bunch of transitions and effects.
With Photo Story App, one can embrace memories without even thinking of getting into fiddly third-party apps. The app serves pretty well, creates perfect videos, and gives an opportunity to add styled music for further enhancement.
Arrangement of images is one of the most interesting element of Microsoft’s latest photo story app. According to the company, Photo Story utilizes machine learning for selecting images from a big bunch. Not to mention, Google added the same feature in its Photos app and Sony, on the other hand, boasts a separate Movie Creator app for the same purpose.
Microsoft claims that the process of recognizing and sorting identical photos will certainly get improved over time. The tech giant mentioned in a blog post, Photo Story’s algorithm isn’t just looking for technical quality, such as whether or not it’s blurry or the exposure is correct, it’s looking for interestingness.”
However, the speed and performance of this photo story app is a big question from several Windows Phone users and developers. Microsoft claims that the app will deliver fast and glitch-free performance as it handles the entire process on the device rather than relying on time-consuming upload and download systems. Photo Story looks like a perfect gift for Windows Phone users. It also accepts voice commands via Cortana, and can comfortably create a new story for the day just on one command. The app is currently available for download via Windows Store.
In addition to this, Microsoft is also planning to its activation algorithms to prevent unauthorized access or piracy of Windows 10. The company is working on its activation mechanisms on Windows 10, but hasn’t discussed it publicly. One thing is sure, the new activation’s rules will certainly create some serious problems for those who have been activating Windows XP, 7, and 8 by using fraudulent cracks and key-generation techniques.
