OnePlus 2 Sale to begin from August 11
Soon after the launching OnePlus 2, the company activated its invite system in a couple of days. The latest flagship killer has already created a buzz around the globe, and now, as scheduled, it will be hitting the Indian market exclusively via Amazon India from Tuesday.
Through one of its blog post, OnePlus mentioned that India will be one of the first markets to welcome the new OnePlus 2. According to the post, users with India specific invites will be able to purchase the new OnePlus 2 via Amazon India, starting from 4pm IST on 11th August. The company highlighted that the first set of invites will be sent out from Tuesday itself, and once it’s claimed, customers will get ample amount of time to make their purchase via Amazon.
The company also added that passionate participants will be prioritized over the others. At least 3.5 million people have signed up to claim their OnePlus 2 invite by participating in several contests conducted on OnePlus forum and social accounts.
The 64GB variant of OnePlus 2 boasts an incredible set of specs, and features a 5.5-inch full-HD display, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It runs Android 5.1-based OxygenOS 2.0 out-of-the box, and delivers decent photography experience with a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera. With decent connectivity support and a less-fiddly fingerprint sensor, it serves ideally and is perfectly backed by a long-lasting battery of 3300mAh. From August 11, this device will be available at Rs. 24,999, and the 16-gig variant priced at Rs. 22,999 will hit the shelves later this year.
In India, the sale of new OnePlus 2 is right on the mark, but in North America regions, the sale of this device is getting delayed because of “production schedules.” Users in US and Canada will also get the opportunity to claim their OnePlus 2 invite and purchase this device from Tuesday. But, in North America, OnePlus fans will have to wait for at least two or three weeks to claim their invites. In a post, OnePlus apologized for this delay and said, “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Although some fans may be disappointed to hear this news, we would rather be transparent about the situation.
