Phicomm Energy 653 with LTE Capabilities Launched At Rs. 4,999
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Phicomm has launched its second smartphone in the Indian market, Energy 653 star. The device has been priced at Rs. 4,999, and will be hitting the shelves exclusively via Amazon India from coming Monday. It supports 1800MHz (Band 3) and 2300MHz (Band 40) LTE bands currently deployed in India, and will be going against the likes of popular ZTE Blade Qlux 4G, Moto E (Gen 2) 4G, and Lenovo A6000 Plus smartphones rolling in the market.
The new Phicomm Energy 653 boasts a decent set of specs, and sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 chip clocked at 1.2GHz, clubbed with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Expect 5.0 skin atop, and features an 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing snapper, backed by 8 gigs of built-in storage. The built-in memory equipped with this device can be further enhanced by up to 64GB via microSD card.
In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim based Phicomm Energy 653 packs decent support to cater standard requirements with full proficiency. Apart from 4G connectivity on both sim slots, the feature-rich device ships with 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, and micro-USB options. It comes with all necessary sensors including, L sensor, G sensor, and P sensor, and is perfectly backed by a long-lasting battery of 2300mAh.
Phicomm Energy 653 measures 144 x 70 x 8 mm in dimension, weighs just around 100 grams, and will be hitting the shelves in typical Black and White avatars at a great price tag. At the launch, Zheng Min, the CEO of Phicomm highlighted the capabilities of their latest smartphone and said, “Phicomm Energy 653 is our second smartphone to release in India. Phicomm’s strong in-house research and development team have created a powerful device exclusively for the Indian consumer. By market analysis and comparing consumer needs in India, Phicomm has built the Energy 653 to allow consumers to experience a robust smartphone for larger interactive and viewing experience.”
Few months back, Phicomm marked its entry into the Indian smartphone market with its improved Passion 660 smartphone. The device is priced at Rs. 10,999, and has been rolling out successfully in Black and White avatars via popular ecommerce portal Amazon India.
