Chinese tech giant, Oppo has launched a new product the mid-range arena, Mirror 5. The device packs a nice set of specs, and is set to hit the Indian market at Rs. 15,990 starting this week.
Just like Mirror 5s, the new Mirror 5 also flaunts an incredible look with the same diamond-inspired multi-faceted back panel and appealing display. It features LTE connectivity in other markets, but its compatibility with Band 3 and Band 40 currently deployed in India is still not known.
In terms of key specs, Mirror 5 sports a 5-inch qHD TFT display rather than a HD display as seen on Mirror 5s. It offers full support for wet or glove-touch input, and gives a decent viewing experience from all angles. Under the hood, this device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset, clubbed with Adreno 306 graphics and 2GB of RAM. It runs 5.1 Lollipop with Color OS 2.1 skin on the top, and features decent camera support with an 8MP rear camera equipped with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera setup of this device produces decent image quality, and comes with a bunch of features like, double exposure, scene detection, panorama, smile shot, HDR mode, and much more. Moreover, the inbuilt storage equipped with this device is 16GB, and can further increased by up to 128GB with an external microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the dual-sim based Oppo Mirror 5 packs standard support with rich set of options like, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, FM Radio, IR port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. One of the two sim slots of this device offers support for a micro-SIM card, while the other supports Nano-SIM. It comes with a bunch of sensors including, G-sensor, ambient light sensor, and magnetometer, and is perfectly backed by a long-lasting 2420mAh battery.
Except for the display, all elements packed with Oppo Mirror 5 go completely in line with Mirror 5s. This device looks pretty alluring, measures 143.4×71.2×7.65mm, and weighs just around 160 grams on paper. It will be coming in White and Blue avatars, and will also feature a Smart control app compatible with all routine household appliances.
At the launch, Tom Lu, the CEO of Oppo Mobile highlighted the efficiency of Mirror 5 and said, “Our newest offering Mirror 5 is perfect interpretation of our design philosophy which is wisdom and innovation, shining above the ordinary.
