India Gadget Expo 2015, country’s premier gadget show has ended after seeing a terrific response from more than 30000 enthusiastic visitors. The trade show at the Hitex exhibition facility in Hyderabad proved to be a big success with visitors and participants from all segments of the industry including Global investors, startups, CEOs, MDs, tech-buffs, students, government officials, dealers/distributors, and consumers!
The expo showcased more than 1000 gadgets by manufacturers from different parts of the world, and kept the visitors dazzled for a fairly long-time. The startup zone with over 50 innovators selected from more than 400 entries grabbed the attention of both, the investors and the visitors with a slew of promising products. The expo played host to more than 100 stalls with renowned industry giants like, Micromax, Canon, Gionee, Panasonic, WDC, Motorola, Mercedes, and BMW displaying their improved and fascinating products. In fact, this was the first time when popular smartphone manufacturer Motorola displayed its fancy new toys out of the world of ecommerce and allowed customers to explore the look and feel of its smartphones. The expo recorded an impressive jump of 30% in terms of brands participating at the event this year.
With a massive range of products from new and renowned brands, the most impressive ones were B-One by Blaze Automation (automation for smart homes), ZB-Bullet by Zook (world’s smallest and lightest earphone), Spindle by Orvito (Cloud-enabled remote controller with multi-user capabilities), Eluga smartphone by Panasonic, ZB- Locking by Zook (the first Bluetooth enabled lock controlled by an App), 3D Printer by Atlem and Stratasys technologies, Numa Fit band and Numa rover, and new Gionee smartphones.
The Hackathon Carnival conducted at India Gadget Expo saw an incredible response with active participation and exchange of ideas on innovative solutions. Several hackers pitched their prototypes and solutions to industry leaders, IT professionals, investors, and public at large. Their work simply terrific, but the final year students Tejashwari Darvi and Prakhar Gupta from BITS Pilani Hyderabad were declared winners with their “Transport Automator” technology. Their other ideas for detecting empty parking spaces “Smart parking solutions” and maintaining road safety by detecting alcohol limits “Smart Alcohol Sensor” were also appreciated by the jury.
This year, India Gadget Expo engaged much talked topics with eminent speakers and played host to the famous NDTV Gadget Guru awards 2015. The event featured a whole new world for tech-buffs, and offered an ideal platform to innovators, stalwarts, and students to explore latest developments in the field of technology.
