(Before It's News)

Following a bunch of leaks and rumors, Meizu Pro 5 has been surfaced again in a new leak revealing its metal clad body and the latest Flyme 5.0 operating system. Originally, the Chinese tech-giant was expected to launch this device with an older version of Flyme OS, but now, the leaked press render has given a clear direction towards the latest Android Lollipop based-version. The official launch of this phone is expected on September 23.

The recently leaked press render highlight the Gray color variant of Meizu Pro 5 with fairly thin-bezels and crafty design language. The device flaunts a full metal body like Meizu MX5, and looks like an ideal flagship phone for mid-range buyers. To recall, the upgraded “Pro 5” smartphone from Meizu is speculated to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080) display along with 3 or 4GB RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal memory. The device will be boasting an ideal camera setup with a 21-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, and is expected to deliver smooth and glitch free performance with two variants powered with MediaTek MT6797 and Exynos 7420 chip.

Few days back, the power-house from Meizu created a buzz on beating Galaxy Note 5 with prolific scores on Geekbench. In the listing, the variant of Pro 5 with Exynos 7420 chipset topped with an incredible score of 1,550 points in single-core test and 5,593 in multi-score test. The Galaxy Note 5 powered by the same chipset, on the other hand, lost the battle with a decent yet lower score of 1,490 in single-core, and 4,950 in multi-core test.

The scores on Geekbench have already signified the power of alleged Meizu Pro 5. And now with Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Flyme OS 5.0, the flagship device is expected deliver top of the line performance while handling routine and heavy apps. In earlier reports, the retail packaging of the device was leaked with “Pro 5” branding on the top. The smartphone will be more powerful than its predecessor and will bring some major hardware and software upgrades, but still, it’s too early to say anything before the official announcement from Meizu comes up!
