Micromax Canvas Selfie 2, Selfie 3 Launched In India
The famous “Canvas Selfie” lineup from Micromax has just gone bigger with the launch of two new devices, Canvas Selfie 2 (Q340) and Selfie 3 (Q348). Packing an enticing set of specs, the duo has been launched with extremely powerful front-facing cameras. While Canvas Selfie 2 will hit the shelves from August 22 at Rs. 5,999, its elder sibling will be coming by the end of this month. However, its price has not been revealed by the company.
The new Canvas Selfie 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out-of-the box, and boasts a 5-inch FWVGA display with IPS technology. It gives a decent visual experience, and powers up by a quad-core processor (unspecified) clocked at a speed of 1.3GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM. The camera setup of this device includes a 5-megapixel rear autofocus shooter with OV5678 sensor, 4P Largan Lens, a LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with OV5670 sensor and same Largan 4P lens. It packs 8 gigs of internal memory, offer standard connectivity options, and is backed by a decent 2000mAh battery.
The elder sibling, Canvas Selfie 3 boasts a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display with IPS technology. It comes protected with Gorilla Glass 3, and powers up by an unspecified processor with four cores clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The version of Android packed with this phone has not been revealed, but its camera capabilities will be better than most budget phones.
The camera setup of Canvas selfie 3 includes an 8-megapixel rear autofocus shooter with 5P Largan Lens, Blue Glasses, and a LED flash, and a superb 8-megapixel front-facing snapper with Sony MX179 sensor and also a LED flash. The selfie camera of this phone is very powerful, and can easily take 78-degree wide-angle with best quality. You’ll get a bunch of features like, Gesture shot, HDR mode, Face Beauty, and Night shot, and can comfortably keep a rich collection of snaps with 8GB of on-board storage, expandable via micro-SD card.
The phone ships with standard connectivity options, comes in a bunch of colors (Blue, Purple, Green, Sky Blue, and Yellow), and is backed by a bigger 2300mAh L-ion battery. Micromax is also giving a Bluetooth-enabled Selfie Stick as an added freebie with this device.
