We’ve all heard it before: the second amendment never meant for citizens to have the sort of guns available today – it was just for hunting! By that same logic the first amendment doesn’t apply to the internet (which didn’t exist at the time) so kiss your free speech rights online goodbye!

Then there’s the “it was only implied for a militia” argument.

There’s a certain level of irony in liberals claiming that the second amendment was only implied for a militia. Any time a militia group does spring up they’re quickly denounced by the left, such as we just saw in Oregon.

The reality is that liberals wouldn’t know the Constitution if someone came up and beat them over the head with it, because they’ve never seen it, and they sure as hell have never read it. To determine what the “intent” of a law was when passed (including the Constitution), there are what is called “legislative notes,” which can be found online if you have access to WestLaw or Lexus Nexus, but since both resources are services intended for use by attorneys, and both very expensive, consider going to a law library and asking a librarian for help finding the legislative notes on some piece of passed legislation that interests you.

In the legislative notes, you can find all the notes on actual discussions the drafters had while the legislation was being debated or drafted. Many members of Congress are attorneys, and they know that, but they also know you don’t… so they lie. Case closed for any liberals attempting to dispute what the “intent” of certain articles meant. Two issues that liberal boobs could not be any more wrong on, are the 1st and 2nd Amendments. There is no talk of hunting, and liberals are even more “off” on the First Amendment issues.

As it relates to the First Amendment, the Founders granted Freedom OF Religion, Not Freedom FROM Religion. Contrary to the popular belief that oozes out liberal indoctrination outlets, there is no such thing as the “Separation of Church and State” in the United States Constitution, so please don’t ever utter those words and expect to sound like an informed patriot. The link provided goes into detail about how that bastardization of the First Amendment came to be. If you’re a Christian, and you’re fed up with not being able to utter the name “Jesus” in public without fear of a lawsuit, that article is for you.

Liberals today would be aghast to learn several of the first presidents (all men who helped write the Constitution, so presumably THEY knew what THEY meant more than idiot liberals of today do), held church services in the Capital building during their presidencies. The nonsense you hear today about the “Separation of Church and State” was the result of an activist Supreme Court doing what they do best: Violating the Constitution and legislating from the bench.

As for the second Amendment, the author writes, “I’m not going to offer any more of my opinion on those arguments – I’ll let the founding fathers do the talking,” but I decided to add some rather provocative pictures for your entertainment.
